Why passwords alone aren't enough

Passwords get stolen — via phishing, data breaches, credential stuffing. MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) adds a second factor so that a stolen password alone can't grant access.

TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) is the most common second factor — the 6-digit codes from apps like Google Authenticator.
